TOURS THIS SUMMER
Bromsgrove School embarked on an exciting rugby tour to South Africa with 50 players and 5 staff members. Their journey included competitive fixtures against several schools such as Hoerskool Hans Mod and Kearsney College. The group explored Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Kwa Maritane Game Reserve, enjoying excursions like a Seal Island cruise, a visit to Robben Island, and surfing lessons at Big Bay Beachfront.
The Lambs RFC took 28 players and 4 staff to South Africa, where they faced teams including Western Province Academy and Hamiltons RFC. Their itinerary featured Cape Town and Krans Kloof Game Reserve, with memorable experiences like the Cheetah Outreach program and surfing at Big Bay.
KES Birmingham traveled with 42 players and 6 staff to South Africa, competing against Gray High School and Grootbrak Secondary School. Their tour included stops in Port Elizabeth and Knysna, with a highlight being a rugby clinic at Stellenbosch University and a visit to Addo Elephant Park Game Reserve.
Felsted School powered through South Africa with 50 players and 6 staff, taking on formidable opponents like Outeniqua High School and South African College Schools. Their tour blended intense rugby action with breathtaking scenery, including Cape Town’s Table Mountain Nature Reserve. A visit to Stellenbosch University for a rugby clinic rounded off a trip full of growth, challenge, and unforgettable memories.
Whitgift School soared across Canada with 52 players and 8 staff, diving into a series of exhilarating matches against teams like Alberta Wolfpack and British Columbia Junior Tide. Their adventure spanned Calgary, Kamloops, Vancouver, and Victoria, with adrenaline-pumping activities like whale watching, white water rafting, and zip lining on the legendary “Sasquatch Tour.” They even caught a live basketball game between the Calgary Stampeders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers!
