England Secure Series win in Australia
Wednesday 18 November 2020England claimed a piece of rugby history at the weekend when they won a series for the first time in Australia – to jump to second in the world rankings from number eight.
Their 23-7 victory in Melbourne sealed a series win Down Under for Eddie Jones’ side and they will aim for a whitewash in the final Test in Sydney on Saturday.
In a tremendously courageous and gutsy performance, England scored tries through their skipper Dylan Hartley and centre Owen Farrell, who also added the rest of the points via the boot.
From ripped shirts to bloodied heads, desperate defence and clinical finishing, Eddie Jones has now lead England to eight victories in a row and perhaps even the mighty All Blacks will have sat up and taken note of another hugely powerful and convincing England victory.
